Gary Gene Scott, age 85 of Milan, passed away on February 5, 2021 at NHC Healthcare after a brief illness. He was born on September 30, 1935 to T. J. and Ethel Mullins Scott in Milan. Gary was a retired carpenter and he was a member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church in Milan. He is survived by two sons Garland Scott (Lonna) of Trenton and Greg Scott (Sherry) of Medina, one brother Van Dey Scott (Laura) of Pottstown, PA, two sisters Carolyn Blake of Milan and Nancy Guthrie of LaGrange, GA, six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Shelby Scott, a son Garry Scott, a brother Randall Scott and a sister Margaret Taylor. A memorial service for Mr. Scott will be held on Saturday, February 13, 2021 at 2 pm at the Oak Grove Baptist Church near Milan. Visitation with the family will be held on Saturday from 1 - 2 pm at the church. Because of the Covid Pandemic, social distancing and masks are recommended.
