Funeral services for Mr. George T Bass, age 89 of Milan, will be held at 2pm Sunday, October 2, 2016, at the Bodkin Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Gibson County Memory Gardens near Milan. Visitation with the family will be Saturday evening from 5pm until 9 pm at the funeral home. Mr. Bass was a retired painter who lived in the Milan area most of his life. He was a member of Moore's Chapel United Methodist Church in Milan. George served in the United States Army during WWII. He had a passion for hunting and fishing. Surviving Family: Wife of 67 years - Thelma Bass Son - Jimmy (Carolyn) Bass of Milan Daughter - Regina (Jackie) Gregory of Yorkville, TN Sister - Edna Thomason of Trenton, TN Grandchildren - 7 Great Grandchildren - 11 Great-Great Grandchildren - 5 He is preceded in death by his parents, Mac Lafayette Bass and Ethel Mae Chance Bass, brothers, Thurman and Clyde Bass, sisters, Arbie Fuchs, Irene Moody, Ludie Pearl Kirkland, Claytie Hood, and Ruby Wheeler.
