Funeral service for Mr. Gerald Duncan, age 81 of Lavinia, will be held on Saturday, August 19, 2023, at 2 PM at Bodkin Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Hopewell Cemetery in Lavinia. Visitation with the family will be held on Saturday from 11 AM 2 PM at the funeral home. Gerald was born on September21, 1941 to R. J. and Benthel Lou Brittain Duncan. He married Charlotte Dean Hudspeth and together they began their lives and family together. He the early years of their marriage, Gerald farmed, but soon began a twenty-three employment with ITT. After his ITT years, he began working for TDOT and worked twenty-three years for them until he retired. Gerald was a member of the Milan First Assembly of God. He is survived by his wife Charlotte Duncan of Lavinia, two sons Darren Duncan (Mary) of Lavina and David Lynn Duncan (Deborah) of Lavinia, six grandchildren Mary Beth Luther, Sarah Grace Duncan, David Riley Duncan, Tristen Fuller, Trace Fuller and Tyson Fuller and three great-grandchildren Nora Kate Luther, Emma Claire Luther and Graham Luther.
