Greg L. Kernodle, 52, Jackson, dies at his home on September 4, 2018. Greg was born September 28, 1965, in Milan, Tennessee. He worked as an executive chef in various five-star restaurants, corporate dining, and catering firms throughout the south. Greg was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church of Milan and a former member of the David Johnson Chorus. He is survived by his parents, Don and Martha Kernodle, a sister, Veneice (Ken), a brother, Stephen (DeDe), a sister-in-law, Nella, nephews, Travis (Megan) and Jimmy Kernodle, and great-nephew, Silas. He was preceded in death by his brother, Mike Kernodle, grandparents, Earl and Lema McCormick, and Oren and Jessie Kernodle. Funeral services with Bro. Eddie Holmes and Bro. Walter Hammond, will take place at 2:00 PM Friday, September 7, at the Bodkin Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Salem Baptist Church Cemetery near Trenton. Visitation with the family will be held from 11:00 AM until service time at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
