Guy or Mr. Guy as so many affectionately called him was born September 13, 1928 to Clarence and Mattie Taylor in Milan, TN. He was a graduate of Milan High School, class of 1947. Guy attended the University of Tennessee where he was a proud member of the ATO fraternity. He served his country in the U.S. Army with the 2998th Treadway Bridge Co. in the Korean War from 1950 to 1952. Upon return from the war, he worked as a Bookkeeper/Salesman for the Chapman/Best Tractor Company in Milan. He was partner in the Taylor Brothers Farm and with Taylor Brothers Construction. On July 25, 1953 he married Mary E. McEwen. Guy is survived by his wife and three children, Sharon Lee Cary (Danny), Alan Taylor (Scarlet) and Craig Taylor (Paula). He was the proud Grandfather of seven grandchildren and Great Grandfather to Nine Great Grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, John R. Taylor of Milan. Guy was a Charter Member of Northside Baptist Church in Milan, TN where he served as a Mens Sunday School teacher, Childrens Church leader and Chairman of the Building Committee. He also took care of the Church Finances for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral service will be held on Monday, June 13, 2022 at 1 pm at the Northside Baptist Church in Milan with burial to follow in the Oakwood Cemetery in Milan. Visitation with the family will be held on Sunday, June 12, 2022 from 2 - 4 pm at the church and on Monday from 12 - 1 pm at the church.
