G.W. Roberts, 83, passed away, Oct. 20, 2015, at the Tennessee State Veterans Home in Humboldt, TN after an extended illness. He was predeceased by his wife of 50 years, Martha Joyce Darnell Roberts, a brother, L.T. Roberts, Jr., and a sister, Martha Oliver. He is survived by a daughter, Sherry Roberts Grant (Joe) of Covington, TN, and a son, Mitchell Roberts (April) of Atwood, TN. He is survived by 6 grandchildren, Leslie Roberts Evans (Josh), Alan Roberts, and their mother, Debbie Wilson (Dennis), Beau Grant, Laura Anne Grant, Jordan Roberts, and Noelle Roberts, and 4 great grandchildren, Mason, Carter, Max, and Cord Evans. He is also survived by 3 sisters, Mary Frances Blackburn, Imogene Childers, and Evelyn Hoffman. He also leaves a very special niece, Frances Hamilton, and 3 members of his wife's family: Mildred & Pam Asher & Madge Winstead. Visitation will be on Friday, October 23 at 1:00 p.m. at Bodkin Funeral Home in Milan, TN, followed by graveside services at 2:00 p.m. at the Gibson County Memorial Gardens in Humboldt, TN.
