Memorial service for Harold Jay Capps, age 58 of Bradford, will be held on Friday, June 9, 2023 at 4 PM at the Bradford First Baptist Church. Visitation with the family will be held on Friday from 2 4 PM at the church. Harold Jay was born on July 24, 1964 in Chicago to Jerry and Vicky Pitts Capps. He worked at A O Smith in Milan for many years and in recent years, Harold Jay worked at the Bradford Special School District as a substitute teacher. The following is an excerpt from the schools Facebook page. "He absolutely loved being at school and being around the kids. Harold J was selfless with his care and concern for our students, and he was LOVED by students, faculty and staff. We thank him for all of his time, advice, humor and wisdom. He was one of a kind!" Harold Jay was a faithful member of the Bradford First Baptist Church and he was looking forward to teaching at this years Vacation Bible School. He graduated from Milan High School in the Class of 1982. He is survived by two daughters Sarah Anders of Zachary, LA and Sondie Capps Rinks of Medina, five grandchildren Ellie Anders, Luke Anders, Liam Anders, McKenzie Rinks and Maci Rinks, two sisters Cassandra Poole (John) of Trinity, AL and Carolyn Ainsworth (Randy) of Atwood, one brother David Spain (Kim) of Bradford and his step-mother Diane Capps of Atwood.
