Funeral service for Ms. Hassie Graye Hamilton Hick, age 97 of Lavinia, will be held at 2pm on Sunday, November 30, 2014 at Bodkin Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Independence Cemetery near Lexington. Visitation with the family will be held on Saturday evening after 5:30pm at the funeral home. Ms. Hicks was a member of the Lavinia Baptist Church where she served as a former Sunday School Teacher. Surviving Family: Sons - Bobby Jack Hicks (Jo Anne) and Merle Hicks (Bobbie) Daughter - Susan Coward (Tommy) 11 - Grandchildren 18 - Great Grandchildren 20 - Great Great Grandchildre She was preceded in death by her husband Melton Hicks, a son Ronnie Lee Hicks, two daughters Donna Lynn Thomas and Peggy Ann McDowell, three brothers Hobart Hamilton, Wesley Hamilton and Warren Hamilton and five sisters Dora Gately, Alzada Peterson, Ada Kirk, Allie Fullerton and Ottie Fisher. Memorials may be directed to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, TN.
