Funeral service for Helen Dean Morris, age 78 of Milan, will be held on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at 12 PM at Bodkin Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Poplar Grove Cemetery near Dyer. Visitation with the family will be held on Tuesday evening from 5 – 8 PM and on Wednesday from 10 AM – 12 PM at the funeral home.

Helen was born in Gibson County to Dennis and Minnie Lea Wray Flowers on April 20, 1945. She was a member of the Maranatha Baptist Church and before it closed, worked for the Brown Shoe Company.

She is survived by two children Penny Lynn Garrison (Sean) of Milan and Dennis Edward Morris of TX, six grandchildren Dale Nelson, Jr. (Lindsey) of Atwood, Cody Lynn Nelson (April) of Milan, Alexandria Nicole Thompson (Hunter) of Lavinia, Austin Hunter Blake Morris of Paris, Megan Michelle Morris of TN and Amber Lynn Miller (Karl) of Atwood and eight great grandchildren.

Besides her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her husband Dennis Morris and a great grandson Max Nelson and a brother Harry Lee Flowers.
