Hope Evangeline Powers, born on March 28, 1940, in McKenzie, Tennessee, peacefully passed away on June 7, 2026. She devoted her life to her family and home as a compassionate and dedicated homemaker, living with grace and love throughout the years.

A beloved mother, Hope is survived by her sons: John Kevin Powers and his wife Rose of Selmer, Tennessee; Russell Powers of Atwood, Tennessee; and Tracy Powers and his wife Brandy of Mary Ester, Florida. Her nurturing spirit extended through generations, cherished by her seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren, who carry forward her legacy of warmth and kindness. Her close family circle also includes her brother, Clay Dillahunty of Huntingdon, Tennessee, and her sister, Jo Lynn Vickers.

She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Wade Alton Reynolds and Audye Rebecca Burrow Reynolds, and her devoted husband, Billy Joe Powers, whose memories she held dear.

A graveside service to honor the life of Hope Evangeline Powers will be held on June 11, 2026. The service will begin at 1:00 PM at Pisgah Cemetery, located on Tennessee 77 in Atwood, Tennessee.

Hope’s passing marks the end of a remarkable life filled with devotion and tenderness. She leaves behind a family forever grateful for the foundation she built and the love she so freely gave. Her presence will be deeply missed, yet her spirit endures in the hearts of those fortunate enough to have known her.
