Memorial services for Howard Dalton Crider, age 93 of Atwood, are set for Thursday, April 7, 2022, at Bodkin Funeral Home in Milan, TN. Mr. Crider died April 5, 2022, at his home in Atwood. Born in Trezevant, TN, on January 5, 1929, to William Edward and Vera Willis Crider, he was employed by the Milan Arsenal for 37 years. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and served in Italy during WWII. Mr. Crider is preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Margaret Hopper Crider; 3 sisters, Nala Allen, Helen Parrish, and Oder Webber; 3 brothers, Paul Crider, Willis Crider, and G.C. Crider; daughter, Debi Fry; grandson, Jamie Appleton; and step-son, Jerry Whitby. Survivors include his wife, Iris "Yonnie" Crider of Atwood; one son, Donnie Crider (Wanda) of Atwood; daughter, Donna Jackson of Atwood; step-sons, Ricky Whitby of Dandridge, TN and Paul Whitby of Marshall, IL; 11 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Bodkin Funeral Home with the memorial service to immediately follow at 6:00 PM.
