Funeral services for Imogene Phelps, age 91 of Milan, will take place at 2:00 PM Wednesday, August 3, 2022, at the Bodkin Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Oakwood Cemetery in Milan. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Born on September 3, 1940, to the late John and Sallie Bolerjack Phillips, Mrs. Phelps passed away on July 30, 2022, at her home in Milan. Imogene was a member of Milan First Baptist Church. She retired from Emerson Electric in Humboldt where she worked in quality. Imogene loved volunteering at the Mustard Seed and did so for years. Imogene is survived by several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, DeRoy Phelps, and eight brothers and sisters, Katherine Jones, Woodrow Phillips, Robert "Guy" Phillips, Maxine Moody, Jack Phillips, Rozelle Phillips, Lois Fitzgerald, and Jerry Phillips.
