Funeral service for Elmer Bernard "Jack" Smith, age 85 of Milan, will be held on Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at 2 PM at Bodkin Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Gibson County Memory Gardens near Milan. Visitation with the family will be held on Wednesday from 12 – 2 PM at the funeral home.

Jack was born on January 14, 1938 to his parents Elmer and Celia Moore Smith in Brazil, TN. He retired from Hostess – Wonder Bread Company in Memphis and he was a faithful member of the Main Steet Church of Christ.

Jack is survived by two children Tammy Scott (Ronald) and Roger Smith (Traci) both of Milan, four grandchildren Morgan Mahan (Paul) of Milan, Maegan Malady (Jonas) of Milan, Justin Scott (Donna) of Trenton and Janna Ferrell (Josh) of Gibson, nine great-grandchildren Kylie Scott, Katelyn Scott, Kobe Scott, Kaleb Scott, Riley Ferrell, Aubrey Ferrell, Kennedy Charlotte Mahan, Madelin Collins Malady and Jackson Freeman Mahan and one great great-grandson Finn Oliver Forbes. He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Brenda Smith, his parents Elmer and Celia Smith, a brother Nathan Smith and a sister Dorlus Coffman.
