James Andrew Mitchell, age 41, of Milan, Tennessee, passed away at his home on September 17, 2026.

James was born on June 9, 1985, to Mary Puckett Mitchell and the late James Edward Mitchell. He was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

James worked as an Operations Manager for Quality Outdoor Products. He was a skilled and hardworking man who took great pride in building things and in his contractor work. He had a passion for working with his hands and could often be found creating, repairing, or improving something. He also served his community as a former volunteer firefighter and had previously worked as a truck driver. James enjoyed coaching karate and sharing his knowledge and skills with others. James was attending Elevate Baptist Church in Milan. 

He is survived by his loving wife, Stacy Cupples Mitchell; his mother, Mary Mitchell; his son, James Cameron Mitchell; and his sister, Amanda Coffman.

Funeral services will be held at Bodkin Funeral Home on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at 1:00 p.m., with burial to follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery near Milan. Visitation with the family will be take place Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

James will be remembered for his hardworking spirit, his willingness to help others, his many talents, and most of all, his love for his family. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
