Funeral service for Mr. James Moore Graves, age 89 of Bradford, will be held on Saturday, July 10, 2021, at 11 AM at the Bodkin Funeral Home in Milan with burial to follow in the Mt. Pisgah Cemetery near Bradford. Visitation with the family will be held on Friday evening from 5 8 PM and on Saturday morning from 10 11 AM at the funeral home. Mr. Graves was born on September 18, 1931 to Weldon and Rachel Rutherford Graves in Humboldt. He was a member of the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church and he was a retired insurance agent with Woodman of the World. James graduated from Medina High School in 1949 and served his country in the U S Navy during the Korean War. He is survived by his wife Linnie Graves of Bradford, three sons Terry Graves of Humboldt, Shane Graves of Bradford and Jim Graves (Stacy) of Bradford, three brothers Bill Graves (Linda) of North Carolina, Jerry Graves (Gloria) of Medina and Glynn Graves (Sally) of Oakfield, a sister Linda Smith (Rev. Gerald) of Jackson, five grandchildren Bethany Graves of Dickson, Robert "Bubba" Graves (Blair) of White Bluff, Brandon Graves, Alex Graves of Bradford and Shayna Graves of Martin and one great grandchild Addy Perry of Dickson. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers Marion "Buddy" Graves and C. T. Graves and a sister Betty Graves.
