Graveside service for James Franklin Greene, age 76 of Milan, will be held on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 1:30 PM at the Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery in Parkers Crossroads. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. He was born on November 18, 1944 to Ray and Connie Greene of Gibson TN. He lived most of his life in Milan with his wife Kaffie Hicks Greene. He worked in the tool and die business until he retired and then he moved to the Tennessee Veterans home in Humboldt. James was preceded in death by his father Ray Greene and mother Connie Bass Greene. He leaves behind his wife of 53 years Kaffie Hicks Greene of Milan, two children Todd Greene (Janet) of Medina and Lori Greene McClain (Greg) of Paris, two brothers Bobby Greene (Susan) of Jackson and Jerry Greene (Shelia) of Jackson, a sister Mary Evelyn Greene Chappell of Humboldt, four grandchildren Clint McClain (Sara) of Pillowville, Hayden McClain of Jonesboro, AR, Shelby Greene and Camryn Greene both of Medina and one great grandson Hudson James McClain. The family request no flowers and asks that all memorials be made to the Milan First Baptist Church @ 2000 Second Street Milan, TN 38358 or to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation @ 2361 Hylan Boulevard, Staten Island, NY 10306. Pallbearers to serve will be Todd Greene Greg McClain, Hayden McClain, Jerry Greene, Bobby Greene and Clint McClain.
