James Richard Litherland, age 51, of Atwood, TN passed away on February 7, 2022. He was born in Peoria, IL on September 12, 1970. James graduated from the University of South Florida. He resided as a Virtual Hermit in the wilds of West Tennessee. He had lived various places and done a number of jobs he had been an office worker and done hard manual labor, worked (briefly) in the retail and service sectors, and he had been an instructor. But through all that, he had always been a writer. And after over 30 years of studying and practicing his craft, he took the plunge and published independently. To date, he has published 16 books. He was preceded in death by his father John Litherland. He is survived by his mother Patricia Litherland (Rowen); stepmom Fran Litherland; sisters Traci Litherland and Lisa Litherland (Hayde Rivera); 2 nephews and 1 niece. He was a Christian who tried to walk the walk (and not talk much.) A memorial service will be held by Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka, MS at a time to be determined later.
