Funeral services for James Edward Mitchell, age 68 of Milan, will take place at 2:00 PM Wednesday, August 30, 2023, at First General Baptist Church located at 1039 Frank St, Milan, TN. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday from 10:00 AM until service time at the church. James was born on February 3, 1955, to the late Aubrey Lee and Margaret Jenkins Mitchell. He passed away August 27, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. James was a member of First General Baptist Church in Milan where he and his wife Mary were very involved. One of his proudest achievements was becoming an ordained minister in 1978. He worked at Ceco Doors in Milan. He will be dearly missed by his friends and family.
