Funeral service for Mr. Jamie Ray Johnson, age 90 of Milan, will be held on Thursday, September 26, 2019 at 1 pm at Bodkin Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Prospect Cemetery in Hollow Rock. Visitation with the family will be held on Thursday from 11 am 1 pm at the funeral home. Mr. Johnson was born on August 7, 1929 to Earl and Mattie Powers Johnson. He was a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church in Milan and he was retired from Foamex in Milan. Mr. Johnson was a lifetime Mason. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers Roy Johnson, Troy Johnson, James Norris Johnson and Riley Johnson and two sisters Julia Faye French and Annie Mae Baucom. He is survived by his wife Virginia Johnson of Milan, two daughters Regina Bailey (Anthony) of Milan and Deborah Chapman (Chip) of McKenzie, six grandchildren Kimberly Dover, Adam Bailey, Zachary McEwen, Rusty Chapman, Austin Chapman and Noah McEwen and five great-grandchildren Lynnlee McEwen, Braylon Bailey, Hayden Chapman, Jordan Dover and Tori Beth Dover and a great-grandchild arriving in May of 2020.
