Memorial service for Janet Annell Nowell McEwen, age 59 of Medina, will be held on Saturday, August 27, 2022 at 2 pm at the Chapel Hill Baptist Church in Milan with a private burial to follow in the Gibson County Memory Gardens near Milan. Visitation with the family will be held on Saturday from 12 2 pm at the church. Janet was born on June 23, 1963 to James and Janice Smith Nowell in Jackson. She attended Milan High, class of 1981, and was a stellar athlete and excelled in basketball for her beloved Bulldogs. Upon graduation, Janet received her Bachelor of Science degree from Union University. She was a member of Chapel Hill Baptist Church and had recently retired from the Yellow Freight Trucking Company. She is survived by her husband Dale McEwen of Medina, parents James and Janice Nowell from Milan, a sister Jayme Ann Nowell Mitchell (Greg) of Halls and a niece Jennifer Buntin (Peter) of Houston.
