Funeral service for Janie Ruth Huggins, age 60 of Humboldt, will be held on Friday, May 26, 2023 at 11 AM at the First General Baptist Church in Milan with burial to follow in the Double Springs Cemetery near Milan. Visitation with the family will be held on Thursday evening from 6 8 PM at the church. Janie was born in Chicago on May 18, 1963 to Jerry and Thelma Banks Greene and she was a member of the First General Baptist Church in Milan. She is survived by her daughter Shelia Choate Shepherd (Neko) of Humboldt, grandchildren Nyiah Shepherd, Karlee Shepherd and Na-Kia Shepherd all of Humboldt, two brothers Carey Greene of Lubbock, TX and Donnie Greene of Gibson, God-daughter Leigh Ann Arrington of Milan, God-grandchildren Ashley Powell, Bricen Powell, Logan Stroud, Kierra Arrington and Caden Arrington and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Janie was preceded in death by two brothers Jerry Greene and Robby Greene, and a sister Theresa Eaton.
