Funeral service for Janie Lee Hurley, age 83 of Trezevant, will be held on Friday, March 28, 2025, at 2 PM at Bodkin Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Hickory Flat Cemetery in Cedar Grove. Visitation will be held on Thursday evening from 5 – 9 PM and on Friday from 12 – 2 PM at the funeral home.

Janie was born on January 3, 1942, in Cedar Grove to Felix and Hallie Jones Gowan. She was a member of the Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church in Lavinia.

She is survived by five daughters Kelly Moeckel (Danny) of Milan, Lacee Hodo (Duane) of Huntingdon, Amanda Pitcock of Trezevant, Christy Stewart of Milan and Sherrie Neal (Kenny) of Saulsbury, TN, nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Janie was preceded in death by her husband Eddie Hurley, two sisters Vennie Sue Patton and Marian Harmon and one grandchild.
