Jeanice Walker passed away Saturday May 9, 2015 at Vanderbilt Hospital, Nashville Tennessee. Jeanice was born in Gibson County Tennessee on December 22, 1946 and departed this life May 9, 2015 having reached the age of 68 years five months and 17 days. Jeanice was born a special needs child and a gift from Heaven. She live at home under the care of family members the first half of her life. She went to school at the Patterson center in Trenton TN for many years and lived in a group home setting in Trenton and Milan TN. She became a part of the Easter Seals home in Lexington TN the last year and half of her life where she received daily medical attention due to failing health. She is preceded in death, by her parents James David Walker and Mary Louise Walters. Her grand -parents Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Walker, and Mr. and Mrs. Sam Lessenberry. She is survived by her sisters Teresa Gail Bratcher of Humboldt TN, Sandra Jean Romano of Houma Louisiana and her Brothers Dennis Walker of Monticello KY, Tim Walters of Murray KY, Gary Walters of Selma TN, Randy Walters of Humboldt TN and Shane Walters of Humboldt. Jeanice loved to pray and was very religious. Everyone who knew Jeanice loved her greatly ,as she stole our hearts and gave us smiles of Joy and made us to understand how the simply things of life are so often overlooked. She lifted our spirits and enriched our lives with heavenly grace. She filled us with Faith and Hope, but most of all she gave us the greatest gift of all and that is Love. Family visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 from 12 2pm and funeral service for Jeanice will be held on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at 2pm at Bodkin Funeral Home with burial to follow the Gibson County Memory Gardens.
