Funeral services for Jerry Lynn Ray, age 71 of Cedar Grove, will take place at 2:00 PM Saturday, February 22, 2025, at Bodkin Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Oakland Cemetery in Trenton. Visitation with the family will be Saturday from 12:00 PM until service time at the funeral home.

Jerry was born on February 17, 1953, to Nellie Morgan Ray and the late Marvin Tabor Ray. He passed away February 15, 2025, at his Cedar Grove home.

Jerry was born in Memphis and grew up in the Germantown area. After graduation he served in the United States Navy. He was a retired Dowell Transport truck driver. He moved to Cedar Grove with his wife Yvonne in 2003.

He is survived by his wife, Yvonne Ray of Cedar Grove, TN; mother, Nell Ray of Germantown, TN; son, Dennis Ray of Bartlett, TN; step-son, Dale Parrish (Sherrie) of Trenton, TN; daughter, Johanna Sanchez (Miguel) of Memphis, TN; sisters, Cathie Jenning (Terry) of Fort Smith, AR, and Susan Bryan (Bill) of Germantown, TN; grandchildren, CJ Ray, Carlos Sanchez, Eliana Sanchez, Miguel Sanchez, Isaiah Brogdon, and Jessica Parrish; and great-grandchildren, Weston Ray and Elijah Parrish.

He is preceded in death by his father, Marvin Tabor Ray, and a son, Charles Ray.
