Funeral service for Jerry Wayne Wade, age 83 of Milan, will be held on Monday, August 14, 2023, at 12 PM at Bodkin Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Belews Chapel Cemetery near Bradford. Visitation with the family will be held on Sunday evening from 5 8 PM and on Monday from 10 AM 12 PM at the funeral home. Jerry was born on January 20, 1940 to Samuel and Lona Thomason Wade in Gadsden. He was a member of the Belews Chapel General Baptist Church and he retired from Tower Automotive in Milan. He is survived by his wife Brenda Kay Baker Wade of Milan, son Scott Wade (Lora) of Hastings, FL, and his children Brock Wade, Brett Wade, Jenna Wade, Jude Odom and Joy Odom and his grandchild Lakelynn Wade, daughter Penny Wade of Milan and her children Savannah Street (River), Madison Dixon and Lee Dixon and her grandchild Baker Street, and son Paul Wade (Celie) of Gibson and his children Caylie Wade and Jaxon Wade and his grandchild E. J. Dudley. Jerry is also survived by two sisters Thelma Bass of Milan and Linda Reynolds of Greenfield and a nephew Jason McKinney (Lisa) of Milan and a grandson Davis McKinney. Jerry also leaves his beloved K-9 companion, Dallas. He was preceded in death by his parents Samuel and Lona Wade and two brothers James Wade and Neal Wade.
