Funeral service for Ms. Jimmie Cole Holt, age 89 of Milan, will be held at 3 pm on Monday, December 17, 2018 at the Milan First Assembly of God Church with burial to follow in the Gibson County Memory Gardens near Milan. Visitation with the family will be held on Monday from 1 3 pm at the Milan First Assembly of God Church. She was born on May 27, 1929 in Friendship, TN to Linnie and Ruby Wyrick Day. She was retired from the Milan Dept. of Public Utilities where she worked as the Executive Secretary. She was a member Milan First Assembly of God Church. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by husband Jerry V. Cole, Sr., and two brothers Wayne L. Day and Jackie Day. Ms. Jimmie is survived by her husband Donald Holt of Humboldt, a son Jerry "Bud" Cole (Glenda) of Milan, a daughter Donna Simms (Scott) of Florissant, CO, four grandchildren Heather Cole Land of Lebanon, TN, Erin Simms Grainger (Adam) of Lebanon, TN, Claire Simms Perdue (Sean) of Mt. Juliet, TN and Zach Simms (Kimberly) of Lees Summit, MO, ten great-grandchildren and a sister Janet Worrell of Medina. Memorials may be directed to the Milan First Assembly of God Church.
