Funeral service for Joan Marie Lawrence, age 77 of Milan, will be held at 2 pm on Sunday, December 22, 2019 at Bodkin Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Double Springs Cemetery near Milan. Visitation with the family will be held on Saturday evening from 5 8 pm at the funeral home. She was born on December 11, 1942 to John Henry and Grace Sellers James. Joan was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church in Milan and she was retired from Kongsburg Automotive (formerly D & L) in Milan. She is survived by a daughter Pam Randall of Milan, one grandson Tommy Wright of Dyer, two great-granddaughters Layla Wright and Ellie Wright both of Dyer and a sister Aileen Scott of Bradford. Besides her parents, Joan was preceded in death by two brothers Glynn James and John Henry James, Jr., and two sisters Wylodean Hays and Betty Blackburn.
