Funeral services for Mr. Joe Davis Simmons, age 71 of Milan, will take place at 1:00 PM Wednesday, July 13, 2022, at Harmony Primitive Baptist Church near Milan with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Visitation with the family will take place Wednesday from 10:30 AM until 12:30 PM at the Bodkin Funeral Home. Born to the late JD Simmons and Frances Norwood Simmons on March 14, 1951, Joe passed away July 10, 2022, at his home in Milan. Joe was a member of Harmony Primitive Baptist Church. He worked at the Milan Arsenal for 21 years in Quality and later worked for Curtis Monuments in Milan. Surviving Family - Wife - Myra Mallard Simmons of Milan Sons - Frankie Simmons and wife, Cathy of Bradford, Kelly Simmons and wife Robin of Milan, Greg Knight and wife Jennifer of Milan, and Tim Knight and wife Julie of Decaturville, TN Grandchildren - 10 Great Grandchildren - 8 Besides his parents, Joe is preceded in death by two brothers, Jimmie Carlton and Jerrell Carlton.
