Funeral services for John E. "Johnny" Arnold, age 85 of Milan, will take place at 2:00 PM Sunday, July 18, 2021, at Bodkin Funeral Home with interment to follow in the Trezevant Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 18, 2021, from 12:00 PM until service time at the funeral home. John was born on January 14, 1936, in the Holly Leaf Community near Trezevant to the late Hollis Thomas and Inelve Baker Arnold. Mr. Arnold is a retired farmer, A O Smith employee, and he retired from the Army National Guard after 42 years of service. After retirement, he owned and managed the Pleasant View Resort at Springville, TN for several years, where he had the pleasure of hosting thousands of guests and making life-long friends. Surviving are his wife of 65 years, Zuba Stafford Arnold, his daughter, Janie (Dwight) Wallsmith, and his son, John (Delicia) Arnold, Jr, four grandchildren, Meagan (Randy) Whitehead, Morgan (Kyle) Lewis, Molly (Doug) Sams, and Abbey Claire Arnold. He also has six great grandchildren, London Kate Thetford, Houston Thetford, Addison Whitehead, Max Lewis, Milo Lewis, and Indy Blake Sams. Also surviving is a sister, Wanda Jane Pope, and a brother, Billy Arnold. Memorials may be directed to Gideons International.
