John Robert Cavaness, age 16, passed away on March 26, 2020 at his residence. He was born on March 18, 2004 in Jackson, TN. John was a sophomore at Bradford High School and was in the School Chorus and he was very active in the FFA. He was saved at Youth Evangelism Conference and was baptized by his PawPaw at the age of ten at the West Carroll Unity Baptist Church. He loved Jesus and going to church and he attended the West Carroll Unity Baptist Church in Trezevant and the Chapel Hill Baptist Church in Milan. He loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. John is survived by his mother Penny Hanks of Atwood, his father Craig Cavaness (Robin) of Milan, grandparents Bobbie Jane Cavaness of Bradford and Bro. Billy and Doris Hanks of Atwood, three brothers Jacob Cavaness (Julie) of Milan, Hudson Hanks of Atwood and Robert James Cavaness of Milan and two sisters Hannah Elizabeth Redmond of Milan and Alex Harrison (Tony) of TX. A private family only service will be held on Saturday April 4, 2020 at Bodkin Funeral Home at 12 pm and he will be buried at Poplar Springs Cemetery near Milan.
