Obituary

Funeral service for Johnny Ray Johnson, age 71 of Huron, will be held on Thursday, January 9, 2025, at 1 PM at Bodkin Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Oakland Cemetery in Trenton. Visitation with the family will be held on Thursday from 11 AM – 1 PM at the funeral home.

Johnny was born on June 4, 1953, in Gibson County to his parents Cale and Lottie Marie Tate Johnson. Soon after graduating from high school, he enlisted in the U S Army and served several years of honorable service. A painter by trade, he followed that profession in the footsteps of his father.

He is survived by his mother Marie Johnson of Milan, three daughters Kristina Anderson (Andy) of Lexington, Brandi Fly (Brad) of Collierville and Angela Alford (Bobby) of Dexter, MO, life partner Alice Tomlin of Huron, three sisters Sandra Estes of Humboldt, Sherry Price of Milan and Janet Sallee (Keith) of Lexington, seven grandchildren Brandt Cowan, Skylar Hurley, Shelby Wendler, Cidney Gathings, Nolan Alford, Jaxon Anderson and Aiden Anderson, and two great-grandchildren Emma Hurley and Lillie Hurley.
