Funeral services for Mrs. Jonnie Evelyn Thompson, age 87 of Milan, will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, October 12, 2024, at Bodkin Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Chapel Hill Cemetery in Milan. Visitation with the family will take place Saturday from 11:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.

Mrs. Thompson was born on December 10, 1936, to the late Tommy and Hedy Sykes Volner in Gibson County, TN. She was a life-long Gibson County resident and had 3 brothers and five sisters. Mrs. Thompson was a member of Chapel Hill Baptist Church. She and her late husband Curtis were the owners of Thompson Appliance Store in Milan for many years. Mrs. Jonnie loved taking care of her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She had a love of gardening and crocheting.

Mrs. Thompson is survived by her four children, Rick Thompson of Medina, Laura Woitovich of Bolingbrook, IL, Sandra Mudd (Jason) of Memphis and Vicki Morris of Milan; six grandchildren, Stephanie McAdams (Michael) of Murfreesboro, Lila Wahlquist of Memphis, Kate Mudd of Memphis, Timothy Morris (Kathy) of Humboldt, Greg Morris (Brooklyn) of Medina and Stephen Morris of Milan; seven great-grandchildren Meredith McAdams, Maddie McAdams, Mia McAdams, Alaina Morris, Evie Morris, Charlie Beth Morris, and Maggie Morris; and several nieces and nephews.
