Juanita Whitby, age 95 of Milan, passed away on August 16, 2020 at her residence after a brief illness. She was born in Milan on January 29, 1925 to Omer and Sally Young Caveness and she was a member of the Milan First Assembly of God Church. Besides her parents, Juanita was preceded in death by her husband Raymond Whitby, a son Jerry Lynn Whitby, two brothers Milton Caveness and Raymond Caveness and a sister Pauline Walker. She is survived by her children Danny Whitby (Sherry) of Milan, David Whitby of Milan, Carol Morris (Steve) of Milan and Linda Whitby of Nashville, two grandchildren Melanie Morris Lutes (Mike) of the Ukraine and Jon J. Whitby of Memphis and great grandchildren Noel Lutes of Springfield, MO and Ryan Lutes of the Ukraine. A private, family only service will be held at 2 pm on Tuesday, August 18, 2020 at Bodkin Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Oakwood Cemetery in Milan. There will be no public visitation at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the Alzheimers Association of Amercia.
