Kevin Phillip Jones, age 48 of Somerville, passed away on March 23, 2020 after a brief illness. He was born on February 14, 1972 to Phillip and Joyce White Jones. He was a member of the Atwood Methodist Church and he worked for the Kelloggs Company in industrial maintenance. Kevin was a 1990 graduate of Milan High School and in 1995 received his degree in Manufacturing Engineering Technology from the University of Memphis where he was a member of the Delta Chi fraternity serving in several leadership roles. He had a passion for NASCAR and golf and he was an avid fan of the University of Memphis Football and the Minnesota Vikings. Kevin is survived by his wife Michelle Jones of Somerville, mother Joyce White Jones of Milan, and two step sons William Thomas of New York, NY and Jackson Thomas of Somerville. He was preceded in death by his father Phillip Jones and grandparents Charlie and Ethel White and Clytus and Sue Jones. A private family only visitation will be held on Thursday, March 26, 2020 from 1 2 pm at Bodkin Funeral Home with a private family only service to follow at 2 pm. He will be buried in the Pisgah Cemetery in Atwood. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital or to the American Cancer Society.
