Funeral services for Chaplain Kurt Starr Gross, age 59 of Milan, will take place at 3:00 PM Thursday, June 6, 2019, at the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Saulsbury, TN with burial to follow in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery at the church. Visitation with the family will be held Thursday from 1:00 PM until service time at the church. Chaplain Gross was a lifelong missionary chaplain. He was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Saulsbury. He volunteered as a prison chaplain for years before becoming employed as a state chaplain for the TN Department of Corrections. Surviving Family: Mother - Bertha Gross of Ohio Sons - Brian Whitley of Milan and Chad Dukes and wife Danida of Rossville, GA Brother - Andrew J. Gross of Shalersville, OH Grandchildren - Daniel Dukes, Elizabeth Dukes, Hanna Dukes, Ezekiel "Eze" Dukes, Zacary Whitley, Zoe Whitley, and Zaiden Whitley He is preceded in death by his father, W.
