Obituary

Larry David Stricklin, age 69, of Milan, Tennessee, passed away peacefully at his home on October 30, 2026.

Born on July 30, 1957, Larry was the son of the late Mathew Cranston Stricklin and Chalma Marie Johnson Stricklin. He dedicated 25 years of his working career as a welder at Tower Automotive and also worked at the Milan Arsenal.

Larry's life was marked by his deep faith and dedication to serving the Lord. An ordained minister for 45 years, he spent 15 years ministering in Assembly of God churches before later answering the call to serve at Freedom Worship Center in Milan, along with several other churches throughout his ministry. He was a member of The Gathering at Rutherford Church, where he continued to share his faith and love for the Lord.

Larry was a proud Eagle Scout and enjoyed many hobbies throughout his life, including collecting guns and knives and spending time fishing. Above all, he cherished his family and the opportunity to share his faith with others.

He leaves behind his loving wife, Candace Wicker Stricklin of Milan; two sons, Isaac Matthew Stricklin and wife, Sarah Alaine, of Milan, and Aaron David Stricklin and wife, Ashley Nicole, of Trenton; and five beloved grandchildren, Judah Claire Stricklin, Allen Lee Stricklin, Isaiah Aaron-David Stricklin, Josiah Scott Stricklin, and Silas Isaac Stricklin.

Funeral services for Mr. Stricklin will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 2, 2026, at Bodkin Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Pisgah Cemetery in Atwood. Visitation will be held Monday from 11:00 a.m. until the service time at the funeral home.

Larry will be remembered for his years of faithful ministry, his love for his family, and the many lives he touched through his service to the Lord. His legacy of faith and devotion will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
