Funeral service for Mr. Buford Leon Sutton, age 83 of Bradford, will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2022, at 1 PM at Bodkin Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Mt. Pisgah Cemetery near Bradford. Rev. Randy Potts and Rev. Steve Hamann will officiate. Serving as pallbearers will be David Logan, Sullivan Logan, Silas Logan, Brett Sutton, and Eric Sutton. Visitation with the family will be held on Saturday from 11 AM 1 PM at the funeral home. Buford Leon Sutton is now rejoicing with God in Heaven. He was born September 16, 1938, to WG and Eula Reynolds Sutton. He graduated from Bradford High School in 1956 and then married Martha Jane Crocker on December 19, 1958. Leon served in the Army for 2 years. He was a member of Mt Pisgah Baptist Church where he served as deacon, chairman of deacons, and taught Sunday School for several years. He is survived by his wife, Martha Jane Sutton of Bradford; a daughter, Susan Beth Logan (David) of Bradford; a son, Eric Sutton of Bradford; five grandchildren, Sullivan Logan and Silas Logan both of Bradford, Jessica Lees (Justin) of Trenton, William Brett Sutton of Bradford and Katie Sampson (Seth) of Trenton; and five great-grandchildren, Destiny and Daphne Lees, Everleigh Sampson, Tori Butler, and William Sutton. Leon was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Tonya Beth Sutton; sister, Frances McNabb; brother-in-law, Bill McNabb; and nephew, Dale McNabb.
