Funeral service for Mildred Louise Tate, age 100 of Milan, will be held at 2 PM on Monday, February 3, 2025, at Bodkin Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Gibson County Memory Gardens near Milan. Visitation with the family will be held on Monday from 12 – 2 PM at the funeral home.

She was born on October 21, 1924, to Orville and Ruthie Reeves Elliott in Decatur County. A devoted homemaker, she spent her life raising and loving her children and grandchildren and valued her family as her most cherished legacy. Louise was a member of the Northside Baptist Church in Milan.

She is survived by two daughters Brenda G. Tate Palmer (Dennis) of Millington and Deborah L. Tate Boyd (Don) of Sugar Tree, one brother Thomas Elliott of Piperton, TN, five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren and a daughter in law Linda Tate. Louise was preceded in death by her husband Vester Tate, a son Robert Tate and three brothers Odell Elliott, Fred Elliott and Alton Elliott.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Northside Baptist Church in Milan.
