Funeral service for Lucy Holmes, age 94 of Milan, will be held on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at 11 AM at the Milan First Baptist Church with entombment to follow in the Gibson County Memory Gardens near Milan. Visitation with the family will be held on Saturday from 9 11 AM at the church. She was born on February 17, 1927 to Earl and Lucille Scott Notgrass in Trezevant, TN and she was a member of the Milan First Baptist Church. Lucy is survived by two sons, Hal (Niecie) and Michael Holmes both of Milan, one sister Brenda Weatherford (Joe Pat) of Trezevant, six grandchildren Lindi Jarrett (Jason) of Brentwood, Erin Vester (Brandon) of Milan, Scott Holmes (Bonnie) of Medina, and Shane Holmes (Susan), Tracey Holmes and Stacey Holmes all of Arkansas, nineteen great-grandchildren and one great great granddaughter. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Bennett Holmes, a son David Holmes and three sisters Dorothy Sue Mallard, Billie Dove Simmons, and Betty Ebert.
