Zelma Lynn Rodgers, known affectionately as Lynn to her friends and family, passed away peacefully on February 26, 2026. Born on August 24, 1937, in McLemoresville, Lynn was a beacon of love and kindness throughout her 88 years of life. She departed this world in Atwood, surrounded by the love of her family.

Lynn's life was marked by her unwavering devotion to her family. She is survived by her beloved husband, Thomas Rodgers, with whom she shared a lifetime of cherished memories. Her legacy of love continues through her son, Jeff Rodgers, and her daughter, Cherie Edgin (Jimmy), as well as her five grandchildren and several great-grandchildren who will miss her dearly. Lynn was preceded in death by her parents, Vernon and Nell Howse Scruggs, her son, Bradley Rodgers, and grandsons Chad and Jared Rodgers who she now joins in eternal peace.

Throughout her life, Lynn was the epitome of a loving, kind, and generous soul. Her warm presence and selfless nature were felt by everyone she encountered. She dedicated many years of service to her community, touching the lives of countless individuals through her work and association involvement.

The visitation for Lynn Rodgers will be held at Bodkin Funeral Home on Saturday, March 7, from 9:30 to 11 AM. Following the visitation, a graveside service will be conducted at 11:30 AM at Pisgah Cemetery in Atwood, where friends and family will gather to honor her memory and celebrate her life.

Lynn's life story is one of unwavering love and selfless giving. Her memory will be cherished in the hearts of those she leaves behind, and her spirit will continue to inspire acts of kindness and generosity in the community she loved so dearly.
