Madeline Light, 92, of Milan, Tennessee passed away on Saturday, August 31, 2024. Visitation will be at St. Matthew's Catholic Church in Milan on Friday, September 6 at 10 a.m. – 12 noon, with a funeral service at 12 noon and interment at Oakwood Cemetery in Milan. Bodkin Funeral Home of Milan will handle the arrangements.

She was born to Joseph and Frances Genisio on November 16, 1931, in Chicago, Illinois. She was a graduate of Fenger High School in Chicago, and later attended nursing school.

Madeline moved to Milan in 1968 with her husband Richard Buchner, formerly of ITT. A woman of kindness and compassion, she cherished her faith, family, and friends and was proud of her Italian heritage. She was an active member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Humboldt and later at St. Matthew's Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by husbands Richard Buchner and Harry Light, brother John Genisio, and son David Buchner. Madeline is survived by her children: Debbie Arnold (Andy), Dan Buchner, Debra Mallard Buchner, Linda Ross (Mel), William Light (Gina), Gary Light (Kathy), and Allan Light (Cynthia), 13 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
