Memorial service for Margaret Frances Smith, age 85 of Milan, will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at 2 PM at the Bodkin Funeral Home with visitation prior to the service beginning at 12:30 PM.

She was born in Bradford to Garland Philmore and Mildred Jeanette Gordon Arnold on March 9, 1940. Margaret was a member of the Main Street Church of Christ, and she retired from Emerson Electric in Humboldt.

Margaret was preceded in death by her husband Jerry Linwood Smith, her parents, two sons Joe Smith and Vince Smith and two grandchildren Cayce Lynn McDaniel and Jason Smith. She is survived by six children Jeff Smith of Milan, Jerry L., Jr. (Dana Petty) Smith of North Port, FL, Kim Smith of Milan, Cindy Smith of Big Sandy, Beth Barnett of Milan and Jan Hardin of Bradford, one brother Adrian Arnold of Kansas City, KS, three sisters Barbara McBride of Murphysboro, IL, Judy Thompson of Marion, IL and Sheri Goldenstein of Vienna, IL, fourteen grandchildren, twenty-nine great grandchildren one great great grandchild arriving soon and eight nieces and nephews.
