Funeral services for Mr. Margle Franklin Powers, age 91 of Atwood, will take place at 7:00 PM Friday, July 23, 2021, at the Bodkin Funeral Home. Interment with military honors will take place at Pisgah Cemetery in Atwood Saturday morning at 10:00 AM. The family will receive guests Friday from 3:00 PM until service time at the funeral home. Born in Atwood to the late William Richard and Lelia Powers on March 7, 1930, Mr. Margle passed away July 16, 2021, at Weakley County Nursing Home in Dresden, TN. Mr. Margle was Pentecostal by faith. He served in the United States Army and was a Korean War veteran. Mr. Powers drove for Milan Express for over 24 years. Mr. Margle is survived by his daughter, Brenda Pollock and husband Darrell of Dresden, TN, 7 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, brother, Virglil Powers and wife Blondell of Southaven, MS, and a sister, Lexie Hollowell of Milan. Besides his parents, Margle is preceded in death by his wife Norma Jean Powers; son, Marshall Powers; brothers, Grapel Powers, James Zelmer Powers, and Arlis Powers; sisters, Allie Dee Williams, Ruth Rainey, and Edith Bogle.
