Martha Emily Blankenship, 89, died peacefully at home March 19, 2025 after an extended illness. Martha was born August 3, 1935 in Henderson County to Hubert and Opal Lee Kirk. She married Charles Blankenship May 5, 1951 and together they raised three children. Martha was retired from MagneTek in Lexington, TN.

She is survived by her three children Sandra Childress of Milan, Bobby Blankenship (Anna) of Lexington and Randall Blankenship (Jamie) of Lexington, nine grandchildren Jennifer Yates (Dan) of Milan, Nichole Anglin (Phillip) of Dyer, Austin Blankenship (Melissa)of Cedar Grove, Lindsay Blankenship of Jackson, Shane Paar (Laura) of Jackson, Dallas Paar of Clarksville, Hunter Mayberry of Atwood, Joe Junkin (Sandy) of Bethel Springs and David Junkin of Bethel Springs and numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Charles and her two sisters, Patsy Massey and Judy Robinson.

Services will be conducted by Bodkin Funeral Home in Milan, Tennessee on March 21, 2025 at 1:00 PM. The family will receive friends from 11:00-1:00. In lieu of flowers gifts can be made to St Jude, Gideons International, HCFD Station 1 in Lexington.
