Obituary

Martha Clara Ruble Minton, age 89 of Milan, passed away on October 21, 2021 at The Harrison at Heritage Trace Nursing Home in Keller, TX after an extended illness. She was born on January 23, 1932 in Hornbeak to Charles Brown Ruble, Sr. and Sammie D. Tucker Ruble. Martha was a member of the Main Street Church of Christ where she served as childrens Bible Class teacher for many years. Martha also volunteered for Patient Services at City of Milan Hospital and she also volunteered at local nursing homes. The enjoyment of her life was her fulltime job of being a loving mother to her children and grandmother to her precious grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by four children, Wayne Minton (Beth) of Milan, Tammie Cotton (Kyle) of Keller, TX, David Minton (Terri) of Mt. Juliet and Adam Minton (Dr. Carol) of Medina, ten grandchildren Marci Smith (Chad) of Brentwood, Casey Ealy (Newt) of White Bluff, Mark Minton (Autumn) of Milan, Rebekah Goodman (Mark) of Ft. Worth, Landon Cotton of Austin, TX, Austin Cotton of Dallas, Chelsea Hearn (Sam) of Mt. Juliet, Sydney Robertson (Alex) of Mt. Juliet, Nathan Minton and Courtney Minton both of Medina, and ten great grandchildren Teague Smith, Landry Smith, Luke Ealy, Hudson Ealy, Blair James, Barton James, Brynlea Goodman, Brayden Goodman, Reid Robertson and Cameron Hearn. Martha was preceded in death by her husband Harold Minton, a son Mark Minton, parents Charles Brown Ruble, Sr. and Sammie D. Ruble, three brothers Charles Brown Ruble, Jr., John Harold Ruble and Joe Ruble and two sisters Carolyn Ann Pryor and Rysania Lane King. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at 11:30 AM at the Main Street Church of Christ with burial to follow in the Obion County Memorial Gardens near Union City. Visitation with the family will be held on Saturday, October 30, 2021 from 10 11:30 AM at the Main Street Church of Christ. Memorials may be directed to the West Tennessee Childrens Home. Donations may be given to them through the Main Street Church of Christ, but please make the contributions payable to the West Tennessee Childrens Home.
