Funeral service for Mr. Marvis Samuel Farrell, age 80 of Milan, will be held on Sunday, November 12, 2023, at 2 PM at Bodkin Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Gibson County Memory Gardens near Milan. Visitation with the family will be held on Sunday from 12 – 2 PM at the funeral home.

Mr. Farrell was born in Tupelo, MS on December 14, 1942 to Major and Sarah Grace Farrell. He graduated from Milan High School in 1962 and was a member of the Main Street Church of Christ. Marvis retired after many faithful years of service from the Milan Department of Public Utilities.

He is survived by two children Steve Farrell of Milan and Lisa Smith (Paul) of Mobile, AL, two grandchildren Ragen Thomason and Kayla Thomason and two great grandchildren Adrian and Aiden. Besides his parents, Mr. Farrell was preceded in death by his wife Faye Farrell.
