Mary Quinn (Bruner) Couch, age 67 of Trezevant, passed away on June 26, 2019 at NHC Healthcare after a long, courageous battle with breast cancer. She was born in Panama City, Florida on February 14, 1952 to her parents Quinton D. and Mary E. Slusher Bruner. She grew up in Dothan, Alabama, which she considered her home town. Mary was a member of the Trezevant First Baptist Church and she was retired from Centennial Bank, where she worked as a Customer Service Representative. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by brother Steve Bruner. Mary is survived by her husband of 45 years, James Couch of Trezevant, two sons Jamie Couch (Beth) of Jonesboro, AR and Kevin Couch (Kim) of Trezevant, a sister Martha Burdette of Atlanta, three grandchildren Hudson and Harper Couch both of Jonesboro and Baileigh Couch of Trezevant, and two sisters in law Sally Bruner of Columbia, TN and Carolyn Hamlin of Talladega, AL. Mary lived each day with a genuine joy and spirit for life, no matter the circumstance. She always put others needs before her own, a daily example of Christs love for the world to see. Moms faith in God continued to strengthen, even as her conditioned worsened in the last few months. She adored her time with her grandchildren, as well as her pets Goldie, River and Barley. She was a big Bama fan, always cheering on her beloved Crimson Tide on Saturdays in the fall. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2019 at 1:30 pm at the First Baptist Church in Trezevant with at private graveside service to follow in the Trezevant Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held on Saturday from 12:00 1:30 pm at the church, prior to the memorial service.
