Charles Michael Holmes, age 77 of Milan, passed away on January 8, 2025, at the Jackson Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, TN.

Michael was born in Milan on September 12, 1947. As a youngster, he was an outdoor and sports enthusiast. He played football, basketball and ran track while attending Milan High School. After graduation, he joined the U S Army and served his country in the Vietnam War. After his tour of duty, Michael returned to Milan and worked in the Maintenance Department at ITT and later the manufacturing side of Ceco Door Products. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Milan.

He resided in the Gibson and Milan area until his passing. Michael was preceded in death by his parents Bennett and Lucy Holmes and his youngest brother David. He is survived by three children Shane Holmes, Stacey Holmes and Tracey Holmes Prowse, a brother Hal Holmes and seven grandchildren.

Memorial service for Michael will be held on Sunday, January 12, 2025, at 2 PM at Bodkin Funeral Home. Visitation with the family will be held on Sunday from 1 – 2 at the funeral home.
