Mike Keaton Tucker, born on August 13, 1963, in Milan, Tennessee, passed away at Vanderbilt Hospital on March 8, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. A devoted husband, father, son, brother, and grandfather, Mike's sense of humor and infectious smile left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew him.
Mike is survived by his wife, Star Tucker of Milan. He also leaves three daughters: Lindsay Crocker (Sid) of Milan, Rachel Blount (Micah) of Jackson, and Meredith Atkins (Karter) of Jackson. Above all else, he was a supportive and adoring father, always there to celebrate his daughters' achievements. Mike's legacy continues through his beloved grandchildren, Charles Ford Crocker (11), William Crocker (8), Ingram Crocker (5), Molly Atkins (2), Mack Blount (6 weeks), and Margot Atkins (5 weeks), who were the light of his life.
He is also survived by his mother, Nancy Tucker of Milan, who instilled in him the values of family and faith. Mike's siblings, John "Johnny" Wade Tucker, Jr (Kathryn) and Paul Bryant Tucker (Darla) of Greenfield, and sister, Sara "Sally" Morris of Franklin, TN, who will carry fond memories – many times focused around Johnny Hale Stadium and Sunday afternoon lunch at Mimi and Granddaddy's house. He was preceded in death by his father, John Wade Tucker, Sr., with whom he is now reunited.
A retired chemical engineer, Mike's professional accomplishments were many. His contributions extended beyond his career as he was an active and devoted member of the Milan Cumberland Presbyterian Church. His voice was a staple in the church choir, where he sang with passion and grace.
Mike's love for his family extended to the love for his community. He dedicated countless hours to coaching his girls' various sports teams, instilling in them, and their teammates, the values of teamwork, perseverance, and sportsmanship. Mike's positive impact on the youth of his community will be remembered by many.
His interests were as vast as his generosity, with many moments spent enriching the lives of those around him. Mike's presence was a source of joy and comfort, and his absence will be deeply felt by his family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know him.
Funeral services will take place at 11:00 AM Thursday, March 12, 2026, at Milan Cumberland Presbyterian Church with burial to follow in the Oakwood Cemetery in Milan.
Visitation with the family will be Wednesday evening at the church from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM and Thursday from 10:00 AM until service time.
Memorials may be directed to the Milan Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
