Murray Wayne Groves, age 73, from Bradford, Tn passed away on Monday morning, August 5th, 2024, at AHC in McKenzie. He was born on November 19, 1950, to the late Thomas Woodrow Groves and Mary Winters Groves Myracle.

He proudly served in the Army, was an excellent left-handed painter and worked many years farming, with cattle and horses, and at McKenzie Healthcare before his health declined.

In addition to his parents, Murray was preceded in death by his wife of 27 years, Flossie Marie Lewey Groves, and four brothers, James (Buster) Groves, George Groves, Bobby Groves and Gary Groves.

He is survived by his daughter, April Armour (Rhett) of Milan; daughter, Ashley Groves of Martin; sister, Gay Groves of McKenzie; five grandchildren, Rylla Wyatt of Milan, Ryker Wyatt of Milan, Raynee Wyatt of Milan, Jayden Barber of Bradford, and Annicka Barber of Bradford; and five great grandchildren, Baylor Mayberry, Lyliah Marie Mayberry, Stormy Mayberry, Nova Mayberry and Lottie Mayberry.

Memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 8, 2024, at 3 PM at Bodkin Funeral Home and he will be buried at Shiloh Cemetery near Bradford. Visitation with the family will be held on Thursday from 2 – 3 PM at the funeral home.
